A boy ! you know what I mean.

As a skeptic watcher of Imperial family of Japan, I'd like to say, "Gees, what a luck, Princess Kiko."

A 2558-gram boy was born September 6th early morning after C-secion on Princess Kiko, who was not going to be the Empress. The to-be-Empress was suppoosed to be Aiko, but this plan may be overthrown thanks to this happy news.

I drew the family tree above, so it helps you overlook the situation. It really was a crisis of extinction. Just click on the image for an enlarged picture.

Although all the Japan should welcome the long-awaited male heir, one of the five major TV channels, TV ASAHI, reported this news with a comment, "We'd have to congratulate the birth," by the commentator. He also made another couple of incomprehensible comments, "If a member from the family were to marry a foreigner, we'd feel a bond with them," and "it'll make us think about a cost of bringing up the baby."

This inadvertent statement has angered some of the viewers, especially old (>70) and young(20~30) people as far as I guess. Old people were raised to worship Emperor, so there's no doubht. Very young people are on the other hand very skeptic about mass media, which makes them support the Imperial family, in contrast to mass media. Anyhow, it's not necessary for TV ASAHI to say such a thing on the very day even if they don't like imperial family.

I wrote some other articles on the family, so visit them if you'd like. It will be a tad tough marker.
*We all are pissed off with Princess Masako
*Quagmire of imperial family

Anyway, Banzai!

It's OK to criticize anybody, but it should be logical.

I've heard that 50% of South Korea want the rivival of their king/emperor. If someone gets on the throne and unify the Koreas, it would be much happier for Northern people.

Is it something labeled as "poor" for women only to be good at cooking and bringing up babies in the Western countries? It's a brand new point of view to me. No wonder their divorce rate is high and their kids are fat due to fast food. (^w^)

I'm so lucky to be born in Japan, where I can lead a natural life as a woman and become a stay-at-home housewife and mother without being scorned by feminists who love unnatural political correctness. And of course, we can choose a life as a professional working mother, and Princess Kiko is a model professional working mother, isn't she? She is a good wife and mother of three kids and works so hard for the elderly, children, the handicapped, and disaster victims. She is elegant, intelligent, and fluent in some foreign and sign languages. She never blows off rituals at the Imperial Sanctuary. Princess Kiko is a superwoman. I adore her so much and want to be like her. (^v^)

On the other hand, Princess Masako is not any good model for either a housewife or a working mother. I really despise that lazy and idiot crown princess. She is always on holidays and humiliates Japan and the Imperial Family with her stupid acts very often. (-"-) Do you know Princess Masako is nicknamed "Royal NEET" by Japanese bloggers? I think she is less than a NEET because she is just a waste of a huge amount of taxes. She isn't good at anything, let alone cooking and giving birth, not talented at all even in diplomacy, which Ben Hills revealed. She should be kicked out of the palace and Japan at once.

BTW, yellowpeep, did you see Prince Hisahito in Takanezawa? Living outside Japan, you couldn't see him on television, could you? Here he is. http://www.yuko2ch.net/mako/imgbbs3ji/img-box/img20070329214048.jpg Isn't he soooooo cuuuuuuute? (*^_^*) My 82-year-old grandmother, watching him on television, said, "I want to live long enough to see him become emperor!" Wow! How old will she be when he becomes emperor!? (^w^) He is the most wonderful kid who brought a lot of happiness and a sliver of life to many Japanese just because he was born. I believe he is a Christ of Japan. Yes, he's so awesome, and so are his parents and sisters.

If I can wish one thing, I hope he won't be exposed by so many strange camera operators and flash lamps because it's too stressful for a 6-month-old baby, but, anyway, he is sure to become a great prince and emperor of the world's oldest and longest dynasty. (^_^*)

Emi,
Thank you for the picture of Hisahito Shinno. He's cute!

I once wrote an esclandre on Princess Masako in some post. Her attitude towards "work" will be revealed as the family take over the throne. We'll see.

What makes me really wonder is what kind of information source annoys you so much around Princess Masako. You won't realize it just watching TV. In my case I'm just influenced by 2ch.
